Position Responsibilities
The School of Education and Trades is looking for a Part-time Plumbing Instructor to teach content in the Plumbing Apprenticeship program and develop select components of the content. Employment start date will be as soon as possible.

Responsibilities of the Plumbing Instructor – Part-Time include:

  • Instruct the theory and shop components of the Alberta Plumbing Apprenticeship program
  • Develop instructional content for a limited number of established learning outcomes
  • Participate in school and program committees
  • Program promotion and student recruitment

Required Qualifications
  • Alberta Journeyman Certificate in Plumbing
  • Inter-provincial Red Seal Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years post-Journeyman work experience
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others
  • Comfortable with public speaking, and able to convey course subjects to diverse students and learning styles
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with Journeyman certification in one or more
additional related trades.

Salary Commensurate with education and experience
Benefits and Compensation Information
Part-time instructors receive an additional 14% of the gross salary in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
