Position Title Non-Credit Instructor – Accounting Technician
Faculty/Instructor Profile
Instructors within the Accounting Technician Certificate program offers expertise and innovation in educating adult learners. Instructors are responsible to provide course instruction, evaluate and contribute to the development and maintenance of the course curriculum. The purpose of the Accounting Technician Certificate is to provide learners with the opportunity to learn various perspectives and gain the fundamental skills for using computer software including Window, Microsoft Excel, Sage 50, QuickBooks and learn the manual processes behind accounting software.
Position Responsibilities
Instructor responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Deliver learning content to learners, Marking and grading, providing feedback and guidance to students, being available to provide assistance to students is expected.
  • Provide a positive and innovative learning experience, supports, and utilizes principals of adult learning in education.
  • Help to develop curriculum.
  • Evaluate learning outcomes and provides timely feedback to learners.
  • Collaborates with co-instructors and faculty support to ensure best practices in education.
  • Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which learners are enrolled.
  • Selects educational strategies to effectively meet learners needs support success of learners with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
  • 2 years full-time work experience in the field with relevant education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in study relevant to the subject matter preferred.
  • 5 or more years of full-time work in the field
  • Prior instructional experience
