Faculty/Instructor Profile | The School of Health and Wellness at Red Deer Polytechnic is currently inviting applications for part-time Instructor(s) in the Bachelor of Science Nursing (BScN) program, commencing August 16, 2023 for the following in-person delivery courses: NURS 206 Foundations for Success in Nursing Fridays 1300-1500 NURS 206: Monday 1300-1500; F 1300-1500; Monday 1500-1700; Thursday 1500-1700 Location: Red Deer Polytechnic NURS 217 Foundations of Nursing 2 Wednesdays 1100-1400 Location: Red Deer Polytechnic NURS 250 Introduction to Acute Care Nursing Practice 1 (Long-Term Care Setting) Clinical: Thursdays and Fridays, September 7 to December 1. Lab: Wednesdays, 0900-1200 NURS 361 Acute Care Clinical: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays,
Lab: Fridays from 0900-1200
NURS 363 Mental Health and Wellness Nursing Clinical

The Bachelor of Science Nursing (BScN) program is a four year collaborative degree with the University of Alberta. It is approved by the Nursing Education Approval Council (NEPAC). Graduates receive their BScN and are eligible to write the NCLEX examination leading to licensure as an RN. The BScN program provides exceptional opportunities to work closely with students, faculty and staff in an innovative, supportive environment that promotes creativity, scholarship and commitment to student success. RDP offers an excellent professional development program that helps faculty to continuously develop skills, knowledge and expertise specific to teaching and learning as well as their respective discipline. All four years of the degree program are taught by Red Deer Polytechnic faculty. Faculty may be assigned instructional workload that requires travel to urban and rural locations in addition to teaching on the RDP campus. Benefits and Compensation Information | Part-time instructors receive an additional 14% of the gross salary in lieu of benefits and vacation pay. |
