Position Title Project Coordinator, Campus Management (Facility Space Planning)
Position Summary
Reporting to the Project Manager, Facilities Space Planning, the Project Coordinator will be assisting with the delivery and implementation of RDP Projects from design through tendering, award, construction, commissioning and project close out. This position will assist with the execution of these projects to ensure coordination is completed as directed by the Project Manager.

The Project Coordinator (PC) will liaise between stakeholders, consultants, and contractor teams, balancing stakeholder needs within project constraints and obtaining maximum cooperation between stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.

The PC will have an opportunity to assist in monitoring contract activities and advise design and construction teams of stakeholder issues and concerns, as well as coordinate third-party inspections, ensures construction teams are adhering to guidelines, tracking cost estimates and schedules against the baseline, participate in value-engineering exercises, and perform contract administration tasks. The PC will also assist with project documentation and reporting as required.

The PC is a member of the Campus Management team, supporting the Project Manager (PM) to ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, time, and quality constraints, in accordance with safe working conditions, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders (internal and external).
Position Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Scheduling
  • Document Management and Control
  • Coordinate/Liaison with RDP Contractors and Stakeholders
  • Project Financial Support
  • Building Base Plans on Auto CAD
  • Reporting and Continuous Improvement
Required Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of post-secondary training, completion of a community college certificate in Engineering, Architectural technologies or equivalent
  • Experience with Project Coordination
  • Experience in developing and managing complex budgets and strategic planning
  • AutoCAD knowledge
  • Knowledge of building/site systems (architectural, electrical, mechanical, site)
  • Functional programming and space planning experience
  • Utility Management experience
  • Ability to work effective in an inter-professional team environment
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering and/or Architectural experience preferred
Salary or Hourly? Salary
Salary $62,034 - $72,571 annually
Benefits and Compensation Information
An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
