Position Summary
We are seeking multiple part-time Studio Technicians to join our team at Ancillary Services. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and interest in events and productions at Red Deer Polytechnic.

The Studio Technician is responsible for the maintenance and preparation of studio areas within the Arts Centre.
Position Responsibilities
  • Prepares studios for rehearsals and special events
  • Set up chairs, tables and musical equipment as instructed
  • Ensure Arts Centre facilities are kept clean and tidy
  • Maintain equipment when required
  • Prepare the stage and act as running crew for events
  • Ensures that all regulations of Occupational Health and Safety and Red Deer Polytechnic policies are adhered to in order to provide a safe work environment

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent to about 12 years of schooling
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • This position often includes late night and early morning work. A flexible work schedule is required.
  • Some heavy lifting required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of musical instruments, equipment and repair an asset
Salary or Hourly? Hourly
Salary $17.71/ hour
Benefits and Compensation Information
An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
