Position Summary | The Sports Services Attendant is an enthusiastic, customer-service focused position that is responsible for providing excellent customer experiences to all members and guests of the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre (GWHCGC) and all users of sport facilities and outdoor sports fields across the campus. This position must develop a strong understanding of the business of the (GWHCGC) including facility layout, programming, user groups, facility bookings, public and special events schedules, with the ability to communicate any of these to all staff, members and guests. The Attendants perform all operations pertaining to user group bookings and events including equipment and technology set-up. The Attendant uses the scheduling and GWHCGC management software to complete key tasks at a very high standard and to make key customer service driven decisions to exceed the expectations of members and guests of the GWHCGC. This position provides general support to all functional areas of the GWHCGC and in collaboration with the Coordinator and Lead Attendant ensures that safety, security, and emergency response is a top priority. The Attendant monitors the condition of all sporting equipment on a regular basis and alerts the Lead Attendant and/or Coordinator when maintenance and repairs are required as per established procedures. This position assists the Coordinator with a variety of initiatives and projects as required in support of excellence and innovation for our sports facilities and guests. |
