Position Responsibilities
The School of Arts and Education is looking for multiple Part-Time instructors to teach curriculum design courses in a variety of subject disciplines in Early, Middle and Secondary Bachelor of Education Courses:
  • Literacy
  • English Language Arts
  • Fine Arts (Dance, Art, Drama & Music)
  • Indigenous Studies
  • Science
  • Inclusive Education
  • Physical Education
  • Career and Technology Studies

The start and end dates of the semesters are as follows:
  • Fall term starts Aug 14, 2024 and ends Dec 23,2024
  • Winter term starts (if new) Dec 17,2024 and ends Apr 28,2025
  • Spring Term starts (if new) Apr 24,2025 and ends June 27,2025

Part-time positions may be combined into a full-time (Sessional) teaching role (8 to 9 courses annually).

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum Five (5) years successful teaching experience in K-12
  • Availability to teach on-campus multiple days per week per term
  • Familiarity using Blackboard, or Google Classroom with course Instruction
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate Degree in a related discipline
  • Minimum Five (5) years successful teaching experience in K-12
  • Post-secondary Teaching Experience
  • Experience teaching adults in an in-class setting

Benefits and Compensation Information
Part-time instructors receive an additional 14% of the gross salary in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
